			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This weekend I took my daughter to a birthday party at a roller skating rink.  I used to go roller skating every waking hour that I wasn&#8217;t in school when I was a young teen.  I put the skates on (had to rent - ewwwww!) and it was like I had never taken them off.  I skated for 2 hours - was sweating like crazy (what the heck was I thinking wearing a sweater that day?!)  But what fun!  I was skating forward, backwards, weaving in and out and going so fast that I could feel the breeze on my face.  At one point when they played &#8220;Don&#8217;t Stop Believing&#8221; - if I closed my eyes, just feeling the wheels beneath my feet and hearing that music brought me back to being 15 again!  What an amazing way to burn off 850+ calories and to feel such nostalgia again!   It was a BLAST!  I am sooooooooo going back.  (Oh and my daughter had fun too!)  P.S. and bonus: I wasn&#8217;t the least bit sore the next day!

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Was feeling a bit sluggish today, had a tough time getting my self to stay running, so I switched walk, run over and over.  I am not sure how to track calories burned for that.  I know it is supposed to be really good for you to do (is it called intervals?) that.  My treadmill said 461 calories and of course I would like to believe that, but looking at the calorie calculator here - it is inaccurate.  So, I am going to say 400.   I felt like going a bit farther today - so I did 3.1.  But, heck that means I have to go farther tomorrow.  Oh nuts.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It feels good to sweat again.  Did a little over two miles.  Ran a 9 min/mi for a few (seconds!!  Ha Ha).  My goal is to run/walk further each time, even if only a tiny bit.  Felt like I was going to cough up a lung, but am now that much better for doing it.  Wanted to fit in some lifting today, but as usual have to cart the kids to school, etc.  Wont be back until 8:30 tonight.  Maybe lift before bed?  Hmmmm . . . . .   Regardless, I am so unhappy with what the scale is telling me, personally I would like to think it is lying, but, I know it isn&#8217;t.  I can see the extra several lbs and feel them.  Darn holiday cookies, pie, cake, pastries and lovely things filled with butter and fat.  I should take a picture and file it away for next year, and when the holidays hit, post a life size image in the kitchen.  Maybe that will deter me next year!!!
