28 07 2008I officially signed myself up for a 5k taking place on Labor Day Sept. 1, 2008. Let the training begin! I am going to ask a friend if she wants to run with me. I am really nervous.

My goals are: Training to to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 40 in November. Maybe run a 5k this Summer/Fall. To be a good role model of health & physical fitness for my 3 beautiful children ages 8, 4 & 2.

Don’t be nervous! I remember my first 5k and guess what, I survived!! And just think how you can strut around in the race t-shirt (they have t-shirts, right?) saying, “Yeah baby, I ran THIS.” And if this 5k doesn’t have a t-shirt then find another one. It is the badge of honor… (Unfortunately my first race t-shirt was this ugly mustard yellow with a buffalo on it. I don’t wear it much.) Make the t-shirt proud!
