that’s workout techno babble for 2 circuits with emphasis on legs.  I can’t imagine what it is going to be like to add another full circuit to this training next week.  The workout is already getting kind of stale.  But, I definitely still feel it when I am finished.  I am down to 130 again.  That is 4-5 lbs. lost.  Good.  I can’t wait to see 129 on that scale screen!!  I will be pleased to maintain at 122-125.

circuit training (again!)

seeing some slow progress.  My arms look much more defined and toned.  My sides are whittling in and my shirts are feeling a little bit roomier (guess I need to buy smalls now?!).  I am seeing a bit on my stomach - but of course not as much as I would like.  In time.  Not sure I feel any difference in my legs or glutes.  Hmmmm.  I will have to put on some tight jeans today and see if there is any difference.  I think clothes are the only true way to tell.  The scale is slow to budge - I think because I am building some muscle.  But, it is budging - I am down maybe 3 lbs.  Not bad for 1 week of focused diet and exercise.  I am determined to be in that bikini by Summer’s middle (or end).  I will not stop until I have lost 10 lbs and I am lean & mean!

2 rounds of circuit with leg emphasis - I will be sore tomorrow!!  Did abs, arms, legs, glutes.  Now on to the dreadmill for 45 mins.  Not going for any big heroics.  Just going to walk/run while I watch the Rachel Ray show.  Nice and easy on a rainy day.

Warmed up with a 5 min walk and then ran and then a 5 min. slow down.  Was in no hurry - just wanted to get 1/2 hour in.  I am following the Abs Diet workout to the letter to see if I can lose anything.  Feel good.

How easily we can slip when other people are in our lives and in our households.  If I lived by myself (which of course I do not wish for!) I would be able to fully control the foods and snacks that come into my home.  And I guess since I am the mom and primary grocery shopper, I do control that.   But, my children are just that, they are children and enjoy foods and snacks that children like.  Sugar, simple carbs, etc.  I am not going to deny them those things, they are all healthy and in great shape (my 9 yr. old has six pack abs from 10.5 hrs. of team gymnastics/week - we all wish we had her abs).  But this means that I need to have more willpower than I do.  I never have been one to clean my kids plates, I actually think that is gross, my husband does that.  I will however eat a slice of pizza or make myself a fluff-a-nutter™ sandwich if the kids ask for one.  I have a hard time in that respect.  I did my circuit 2 times today and I am going to go to the grocery store to buy “my” foods tonight.  I enjoy the Abs Diet lifestyle - the meals are things that the children and my husband enjoy.  I just have to take the time to plan and prepare them.  I know that I will be so disappointed in myself if I don’t drop those last 10 lbs. and firm up before Summer’s end.  I would love to rock that bikini that I bought.  Now that I am not commuting my middle child to pre-school a 1/2 hour away everyday - there is no excuse NOT to do it!   Now off to do some yard work and rock lugging.

Whenever I get started and build momentum - something slows me down.  Never fails!  I have a horrible sinus infection - going to the Dr. today.  I have never had such a debilitating headache in my life.  I actually had it all day yesterday, all night (it seeped into my dream where I was trying to explain to someone how bad my head hurts!) and this morning it woke me up at 5:00.  I hope to be back to my circuit training & running tomorrow. : ^ )




getting my groove back!

My time is getting better over the last 3 days of beginning to run again.  I am walking less and running more.  I probably ran about 3/4 of the time.  I feel great.  I am so proud that I am actually sticking with it and doing it.  This = 9 miles between Sun, Mon & Tues.  Yeaaaaahhh!!  2-3 miles tomorrow and 2 circuits/full body (abs emphasis)  Go me!
